NORA AND PETER - Congratulations!

Two of our most wonderful staff members ever, Nora and Peter (Nora in the office, Peter outside - who’ve worked with us for the past three seasons), announced that they will be married here, on the pontoon boat on Little Joe Lake, on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012.

If you find yourself in our neck of the woods, please drop by in the afternoon around 3:30 pm  – we’ll be having a little party!

One of our gifts? What else? What every staff member would love!  A couple of nights in Forestedge!

We Love Peaches!

  Our kitchen is taking advantage of peach season and cooking up a storm!   There is peach jam, peach pie, warm peach cobbler, peach chutney and even a peach, almond and vanilla cold soup. Sometimes we’ll keep it simple and serve a bowl of sliced sweet fresh peaches with vanilla ice cream!   Popular Ontario varieties in ripening order include Harrow Diamond, Garnet Beauty, Early Redhaven, Redhaven, Vivid, Loring and Harrow Beauty. One medium-size peach contains 37 calories and is a source of Vitamin C.   Enjoy!
