Season's Greetings 2017

Dear Friends of Arowhon Pines,
We’ve officially left the moose, fox and the grey jays in charge until spring! With temperatures dropping to -25 C and already a foot of snow – it was time to pack it in for the season.

As always we are grateful for each and every one of you. It’s exciting to look at the list of who has already booked for 2018. Thank you for making Arowhon Pines part of your family tradition.  We wish you the best of the season and a healthy, prosperous new year.

A Hug to the Medicine Tree

Dear Theresa and Arowhon Staff,

We prefer the very real world of Arowhon Pines and look forward to a reprise of our wonderful experience same time next fall. Please make sure that Theresa sees the photos--particularly the hug to the Medicine Tree. Theresa inspired that and we are sending her our hugs to an equally lovely--albeit younger being :)

Cheers, Cindy (and Norm)

A Few Pictures

"I didn’t take a lot of pics this trip, will get more at Thanksgiving.  Pic 2 and 3 are from across the bay at the beginning of the white trail.

Thanks for a lovely stay yet again. See you for dinner in a couple weeks." -- Sharon and Mike Arcaro

Arowhon, the Real World

By Esther White (who participated in Brian Henry’s fall 2017 Writing Workshop Weekend)

I gladly left the hot hustle of the 407 on a Friday afternoon and headed north to cottage country. It produced a happy giddiness that only cottagers know. June Writer's Retreat

"Evening all,

If you could manage to arrange a sort of teleportation device so I didn't have to contend with a 6-7 hour drive from London, that would be great. Otherwise, everything was pretty perfect. The facilities are awesome, the landscape is awesome, the staff is awesome...

I am attaching a photo I took back in June which I had been meaning to send along.

Thank you so much for helping to make the writers retreat a success.

See you next June!" -- Helen E. Patterson

Justin Brunelle

"Thank you so much for sponsoring our visit last week to your piece of paradise!

I am Justin Brunelle (the director of the Must Do Canada series) and we had a great visit and got some great footage for our episode and the blog. I have my own personal YouTube channel where I film my own personal travel adventures and I filmed an episode at Arowhon Pines and thought I would share it with you."

Arowhon Aerial Photos

These amazing shots were taken with Adam’s drone on April 21st when the ice was still in the lake. Our crew announced the official “ice out” time on Little Joe Lake was Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 around 6 pm. It’s only weeks now until we open!

Arowhon Live!

It was great taking part in Liz Beatty’s The Native Traveler, a conversation about Algonquin Park.

One segment features Adam’s in-studio interview discussing all things Arowhon Pines!  The full show is one hour – it’s lovely and worth hearing!
